Terms of use
Last updated: June 2026 · barterpeers.xyz
By using Barter at barterpeers.xyz, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or contracts.
What Barter is
Barter provides a web interface to verified smart contracts on Base that facilitate peer-to-peer token swaps through escrow. Barter is software — not a broker, exchange, custodian, or financial advisor.
Your responsibilities
- You control your wallet and are solely responsible for transactions you sign.
- You must verify contract addresses, amounts, and counterparties before approving.
- You comply with laws that apply to you, including sanctions and tax obligations.
- You understand that token prices, smart-contract risk, and counterparty behavior can cause loss.
No guarantees
The site and contracts are provided “as is” without warranties. We do not guarantee uptime, profit, liquidity, or that third parties (wallets, RPCs, ISPs) will always permit access.
Risks
- Smart-contract bugs or exploits — contracts are verified on Basescan; a formal third-party audit is not claimed
- Irreversible on-chain transactions
- Token volatility and illiquid markets
- Phishing sites impersonating Barter — always verify URLs and contract addresses
Fees
Protocol fees apply per published tiers (0.20% / 0.12% / 0% per side). Network gas is paid to Base validators. Fee parameters are set in on-chain contracts and may change via governed upgrades documented on Basescan.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barter contributors and operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or contracts, including lost funds from user error, wallet compromise, or smart-contract failure.
